Before choosing your venue, it's important to think about how many guests you plan on inviting. Although you might not think that you are inviting THAT MANY guests, once you sit down with your partner and being listing out all the people you want to invite, it can be quite a large list. Don't forget about all the +1, 2, or even 3 or more people a guest might bring, such as their children or significant others.
If you have a dream wedding venue in mind, and you only want to have your wedding there, make sure your guest list reflects the amount of guests the place will hold. The venue coordinator should know how many guests the venue will hold or even allow. You may have to cut the guest list depending on the amount the venue will hold. Thinking about an estimate of 25 to 30 square feet per guest can help you think about how much room you would need for tables, dancing, etc. Don't forget to ask your venue how many guests it can comfortably accommodate.
